Every project below began with a loose question, then became something people could use. Not all of them survived. That's part of the point.

Independently scoped and shipped the web and mobile product, including a RAG system using MongoDB vector search and OpenAI embeddings.

50+ signups. Real usage. Not enough moat.

THE PROBLEM
Traditional software makes people translate intent into clicks. Agents should be able to work directly from intent.
WHAT I BUILT
After an investor pitch did not turn into funding, built a working Linux-agent prototype capable of writing documents, interacting with the system and browsing the web from a prompt.

The funding didn’t happen. So I built the prototype anyway.

A compelling direction becomes far more useful once it can be touched, tested and argued with.

Startup instinct is only useful if it travels. This is how it translated when the hardware, codebase and requirements weren't mine to begin with.

A product-building background put to work on a complex Android hardware program—from ambiguous requirements through a working prototype.

  • Configured bare-metal AWS infrastructure and worked with Cuttlefish virtual Android devices.
  • Built and tested AOSP for a 2-in-1 laptop product; unlocked bootloaders and flashed custom ROMs onto physical hardware.
  • Designed and built a pre-installed note-taking app prototype, owning requirements through delivery.
  • The engagement led to full-time role opportunities across Software Developer and Product Manager tracks.

The path was
not linear.

I'm Kapil Verma, a product builder from India. I studied Chemical Engineering at IIT Hyderabad, but most of what shaped my career happened outside the classroom.

After graduating, I skipped placements and spent two years building startups full-time. I shipped web products, mobile apps and AI systems, talked to users, chased distribution, pitched investors, killed weak ideas and learned how different a product looks once real people touch it.

I like problems where the requirements aren't obvious yet.
